What Is The Polyurethane Sandwich Panel

PU Sandwich Panel (Polyurethane Sandwich Panel) is a composite building material consisting of three layers:

1. Two Outer Layers (Facings/Skins): Typically made of metal (such as aluminum, steel, or galvanized iron) or other rigid materials

like fiber cement or PVC.
2. Middle Core Layer:Made of polyurethane (PU) foam, which provides excellent thermal insulation, soundproofing, and structural stability.

Key Features of PU Sandwich Panels:
✔ Excellent Thermal Insulation – PU foam has one of the highest R-values among insulation materials, reducing energy costs.
✔ Lightweight yet Strong– Offers good structural strength while being easy to transport and install.
✔ Fire Resistance– Many PU panels are treated with fire-retardant additives for improved safety.
✔ Water & Moisture Resistance – Prevents mold and corrosion, making it ideal for humid environments.
✔ Sound Insulation– Reduces noise transmission, useful in industrial and commercial buildings.
✔ Quick Installation – Prefabricated panels speed up construction time.

PU Sandwich Panels Common Applications:
-Roofing & Wall Cladding (warehouses, factories, cold storage)
-Cold Rooms & Refrigerated Trucks(due to superior insulation)
-Clean Rooms & Hospitals (hygienic and easy to clean)
- Modular Buildings & Prefab Structures

PU Sandwich Panels Comparison with Other Sandwich Panels:
- PU vs. PIR (Polyisocyanurate): PIR has better fire resistance but is more expensive.
- PU vs. EPS (Expanded Polystyrene):PU has higher insulation and strength but costs more.
- PU vs. Rockwool: Rockwool is non-combustible but heavier and less insulating.

PU sandwich panels are widely used in modern construction due to their durability, energy efficiency, and versatility.
